sunday night with garry grodberg

went to this organ concert at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall tonight.. i dont know him but this Garry Grodberg, a german, is supposed to be a very well known organist in Europe. He played Johann Sebastian Bach. well, uhmm. it was nice but organ music is not really my cup of tea. it sounds too traditional churchy to me.

afterwards, we went to this american diner. it was so nice because when we got out of the concert hall, it started snowing! snow is nice when its just settling and not yet melting. ate a lot of junkfood and sweets because tomorrow i am starting on a strict diet!

it was a nice sunday evening. felt like i could face the 16 subsidiaries i am going to audit practically alone this week, with the march 14 deadline. bring it on!

hahaha. just wanted to share. my greek kumpare/manager is so cute. kasi i sit in front of him and we are like best buds in the office. when he got to the office and was about to sit sa desk nya, he pointed at something behind me, which naturally i looked at. tapos when i looked back, he put a cut-out post-it heart on my desk pala. and he was like "oh look somebody gave you something!" hahahaha. i stuck it on my file holder. lookie.

carrot for emperor (Морковка для Императора)

I watched this theatre play last night called "Морковка для Императора" (or Carrot For Emperor) at the Teatr Antona Chekhova. Comment? I suppose it was good because everyone around me was laughing. hehe. i could only guess so much whats happening :p around the last part of the play, i was already drifting off to wonderland. I need my russian lessons. :p

Heres the story from the russian website. i google-translated it. the translation's not so bad. hahahaha.

A violin yep. just watched a violin concert last night which brought out the frustrated musician/minstrel in me. i used to play the piano and the guitar before. but i didnt follow through with practice and continuous learning. sayang. so now, i want a violin. goal within the next two years is to be able to play one.


i dont want to tag anyone. i just want to post this so that i have some sort of target for the material things i want to own this year. hehe. feel free to answer if you like.

my vivaldi/tchaikovsky friday night starter

i watched Vivaldi's Four Seasons last night at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. and it was the best way to start a Friday evening! i was at the edge of my seat thinking about what season they were playing. everyone was amaaazeeeng!!

and on the 2nd part of the evening, another group played Tchaikovsky's Concert #1. equally mesmerizing but much, much heavier than the four seasons. i got a headache and a hungry stomach afterwards from seriously listening to the whole thing. i think it deserved a different concert altogether, not just some sort of second act. ohwell, this is russia. tchaikovsky is their homeboy!

so sad i didnt bring my camera with me. next goal: Bolshoi Ballet or Placido Domingo at the end of Feb.

you gotta love Moscow for all its culture! ZUZDARUVYA!
