art is life.

i was browsing through art and photography books this afternoon at a bookstore. as i was checking out the photography section, i was amazed by the selections. photography books on naked people, depressed people, poverty, hopelessness, emptiness etc. and the art section did not provide better options. browsing through salvador dali's art was totally depressing. WHY DOES ART HAVE TO BE SO DARK AND GLOOMY??!

i want to see art that brings life. i want to look at photos that will make me smile. i want to see art that encourages. art that strengthens. art that gives hope. something that will evoke good emotions. something that will leave me refreshed. i want to see art coming from the heart of God!

Artists, come out of hiding! Let your light shine!
